Hebei Normal University

Hebei Normal University originated from Shuntianfu School, which was founded in Beijing in 1902, and Beiyang Female Normal School, which was founded in Tianjin in 1906. In June 1996, the former Hebei Normal University and Hebei Normal College were merged with Hebei Education College founded in 1952 and Hebei Vocational and Technical Normal College founded in 1984 to form the new Hebei Normal University. In September 2011, the former campuses moved to the present site to realize centralized education. In November 2014, the People's Government of Hebei Province and the Ministry of Education decided to build Hebei Normal University. As of October 2022, the new campus covers an area of 1,829 mu, with a collection of 3.18 million volumes and 67 databases in Chinese and foreign languages. It consists of 25 professional schools and 1 independent school (Huihua College), with 11 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees and 1 professional doctoral degree authorization point. There are 28 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degree and 19 professional master's degree authorization points. There are 10 post-doctoral research stations and 93 undergraduate programs. There are 2,699 staff, including 1,797 full-time teachers; There are 25135 undergraduate students, 5635 postgraduate students and 594 doctoral students in the university.
