Jiaxing University

Jiaxing University, located in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, is a regular undergraduate university established with the approval of the Ministry of Education, implementing a management system of "co-management by provinces and cities, focusing on provinces". The school is a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance, a national greening model unit, a national energy-saving public institution demonstration unit, a national public institution energy efficiency leader, a safe campus in Zhejiang Province, and a civilized university campus in Zhejiang Province. In March 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Jiaxing College was formed by the merger of the former Zhejiang Economic College and Jiaxing College (the former Zhejiang Economic College started in 1914). On November 20, 2023, the Ministry of Education agreed to change the name of Jiaxing University to Jiaxing University. On November 30, the Ministry of Education agreed to change its name to Jiaxing University. According to the official website of the University in December 2023, the university has 17 teaching institutions and 58 undergraduate majors. There are more than 16,900 full-time students, more than 1,100 graduate students (including joint training), and more than 14,300 continuing education students. More than 1720 faculty members; It has 8 affiliated hospitals and 1 affiliated kindergarten. The campus covers an area of more than 1660 mu, and the library has more than 2.38 million paper books and 2.49 million electronic books. On January 18, 2024, Jiaxing University was officially inaugurated.
