QiongTai Normal University

Qiongtai Normal College is a full-time undergraduate college in Hainan Province. It is a key support college of the Ministry of Education for collaborative quality improvement of normal education, a cultivation and construction unit of Hainan Province's "Demonstration University of Party Building Work", a pilot unit of Hainan Province's "Three-whole Education" comprehensive reform, and a main base for the training of early childhood and primary school teachers in Hainan Province. Qiongtai Normal College comes from two sources. One is Qiongtai Academy, which was founded in 1775 by Kangxi in the early Qing Dynasty, and later changed into Hainan Qiongtai Normal School in 1988. The first is the Lingao County Village Normal School, which was founded in May 1931, and was changed to Lingao Normal School in May 1988. In 2004, the two schools merged to establish Qiongtai Teachers' College, and in March 2016, Qiongtai Teachers' College was established on the basis of Qiongtai Teachers' College. As of December 2022, the University has two campuses in Guilin Yang and Fucheng, covering an area of 1,067 mu and a construction area of 334,467.98 square meters, with a total value of 139,923,300 yuan of teaching and research equipment. There are 11 secondary colleges, offering 25 undergraduate majors and 15 junior college majors. There are 743 faculty members, 524 full-time teachers, 11563 full-time students, including 9056 undergraduate students, 2462 junior college students and 45 full-time international students. The library has 1,167,230 paper books and 1,424,800 electronic books.
