Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in Jinan, Shandong Province, It is a Chinese medicine college jointly built by the national key construction college of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the key university of Shandong Province, the Shandong Provincial people's Government and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a famous school with characteristics of application basic talent training in Shandong Province, a first-class discipline construction unit in Shandong Province, and an excellent school assessed by the Ministry of Education for undergraduate teaching. The preschool is the research class of Shandong Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine established in 1955 and the Shandong School of Traditional Chinese Medicine established in 1956. In 1958, Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's Committee. In 1996, it was renamed Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the approval of the State Education Commission. As of May 2023, the University has three campuses, namely Qianfoshan, Changqing and International Medical Center [56], covering a total area of 2,182 mu with a construction area of 680,000 square meters. The university has a collection of 3.021 million books, more than 789,000 electronic books and nearly 30,000 ancient and rare books. It has 17 teaching institutions, 5 research institutions, 4 teaching and auxiliary institutions, 3 directly affiliated hospitals, 12 non-directly affiliated hospitals, 31 teaching hospitals, and offers 35 undergraduate majors.
