GUANGXI MINZU UNIVERSITY

GUANGXI MINZU UNIVERSITY (GUANGXI MINZU UNIVERSITY), located in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a university jointly built by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region people's Government. It is one of the first batch of national key universities in the basic ability Construction Project of central and Western universities, Guangxi first-class discipline construction universities, "100 Schools Project", and Chinese government scholarship receiving colleges and universities, and is "National Undergraduate Talent Base for non-common foreign languages" (minority language talent base). The university was founded in 1952 as the Guangxi Branch of Central Institute for Nationalities (now Central University for Nationalities). It was renamed Guangxi College for Nationalities in 1953, Guangxi College for Nationalities in 1958, and Guangxi University for Nationalities in 2006. As of November 2022, the school has three campuses: Acacia Lake, Siyuan Lake and Wuming, covering an area of about 3,600 mu. It has 24 teaching colleges, offering 87 full-time general undergraduate majors; It has 1 post-doctoral research mobile station, 2 post-doctoral research bases, 5 first-level doctoral degree authorization points, 17 first-level master degree authorization points, and 17 professional master degree authorization categories.
