The Central Academy of Drama

The Central Academy of Drama (The Central Academy of Drama), referred to as "Chinese Opera", is located in Beijing. It is an institution directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. , the national college student innovation and entrepreneurship training program implementation university, the national "characteristic key discipline project" construction university, the Chinese government scholarship international student receiving institution, is the headquarters of the China Higher Drama Education Alliance, the headquarters of the Asian Drama Education Research Center, and the World Theater Education Alliance Secretariat, China Drama Association, Director Art Committee of China Dramatists Association, International Federation of Stage Arts, China Society of Stage Design, China Center of International Stage Design Organization, China Branch of International Drama Critics Association, China Stage Art Education Alliance, China Musical Theater Association Teaching Major The seat of the committee, the International Alliance for Film Education of countries along the “Belt and Road” and the World Alliance for Dance and Theater Education. The school originated from the Lu Xun Academy of Arts established in Yan'an in 1938, and later went through the Academy of Arts and Arts of North China United University, the Academy of Arts of North China University, and the third department of North China University, and was later incorporated by Nanjing National Drama Academy. In October 1949, with the approval of the central government, preparations for the establishment of the National Academy of Drama began. In November of the same year, Chairman Mao Zedong personally inscribed the school name of "National Academy of Drama". In January 1950, the Central People's Government Administration Council officially approved the National Academy of Drama to be renamed the Central Academy of Drama. As of October 2022, the school has two campuses, Dongcheng and Changping, with a total area of about 250,000 square meters and a building area of about 180,000 square meters; there are 16 undergraduate teaching units, 11 undergraduate majors, and a postdoctoral research station 2, 2 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 2 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 3 professional master's degree authorization fields; there are 3,301 full-time teachers, 76 external teachers, and 3,025 full-time students
