Jiangsu Normal University, located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. It is a Class B university under the Jiangsu High-level University Construction Peak Plan. Selected in the "National Training Program", the "Excellent Teacher Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, the "100 Schools Project" of Data China, the first batch of language application training bases of the State Language Commission, the first batch of social work talent training bases of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the commissioned training universities of Chinese Government scholarship students, and the universities organized by the Teacher Education Collaborative Quality Improvement Program [98], National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, Jiangsu Province's "Target School for Studying Abroad in Jiangsu Province", Jiangsu Province's Cadre Education and Training Base, Jiangsu Province's Instructor Training and research Base, is the leading unit of the Sino-Russian cooperative university alliance. The school was founded in 1952 as an accelerated cultural training school for demobilized cadres. In 1956, Jiangsu Middle School Teacher Training Course was established. In 1957, Jiangsu Normal College was established. In 1958, it moved north to Xuzhou, and in 1959, it merged with Xuzhou Teachers' College (Pizzhou) to form Xuzhou Teachers' College. In 1981, it became one of the first master's degree-granting institutions in China. 1989 Xuzhou Normal College (Xuzhou) merged. 1996 It was renamed Xuzhou Normal University. In 1999, Xuzhou Industrial School was merged. In 2011, it was renamed Jiangsu Normal University. As of June 2023, the University has four campuses in Quanshan, Yunlong, Kuiyuan and Jiawang, covering an area of 2,106 mu with a floor area of 968,400 square meters. The total value of teaching and research equipment is 653 million yuan; The library has 3.3 million volumes; It has 22 professional colleges and 59 undergraduate programs. It has 35 first-level master's degree programs, 16 professional master's degree categories, 1 doctoral training program serving the country's special needs, and 1 postdoctoral research mobile station.
