Xinjiang Medical University (Xinjiang Medical University) is located in Urumqi, Xinjiang. It is the only independent medical school in Xinjiang. The school was formerly known as Xinjiang Medical College and Xinjiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which were founded in 1954 and 1946 respectively; in June 1998, Xinjiang Medical College and Xinjiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine merged to form Xinjiang Medical University.
